Ahhhh my kiddies. We were all talking about pets. I was sharing with them about our vicious little 'Pheonix' (fish) that keeps picking on Reg's baby, our Oscar. Once you open up these sharing sessions, it seems that every single child has something to share, related or otherwise.
Eventually, we get to one of my cuties (they're all cute, but this munchkin is the cutest). The best description I could give you of her is that she is the shortest of them all and resembles a cute porcelain doll, complete with long ringlets of hair and a pixie voice. ADORABBBLLLEEE!!! Anyway, she raises her hand, prepared to share. I call on her and she tells us, "My Mom and Dad bought us a baby pimple." I turned and stared at her for a good while before asking her to repeat herself. I thought I must've heard wrong ... but I didn't because she repeated it again and clearly. "Mom and Dad got us a baby pimple," she dutifully repeated while placing her pointer finger on her cheek. Yep, I heard her right.
BABY PIMPLE.
So I asked her, "Baby, what do you like best about your baby pimple?" hoping to elicit a response that'll clear things up. By now, half the kids are giggling, asking what's probably in your head: What's a baby pimple??! My girl responds with "I like how he hugs me and plays with me and kisses me." I really couldn't say anything for a moment because all I had in my head was a picture of a dancing PIMPLE!! So I finally ask her "Baby, what kind of sounds does your baby pimple make?" I hope that when I repeat the words to her each time, she realizes I've said it wrong and will correct me. And she doesn't. And I'm torn between cracking up and giving her my most
look.
So my girl tells me the sound that her baby pimple makes is 'arp, arp, arp'! It took all of five seconds to register. BABY PITBULL! some of the students and I yell. You know what my girl said back to us? "That's what I said." LMAO!!!!!
Ay-yay-yay!
So just Saturday, I hit a dog on my drive home.
I know you've probably heard this before but ... it just ran out in front of me!! I had no time to swerve. I guess the only good thing is that it was still alive when I looked in the rearview (although I had thoughts about going back and finishing the job for the fright it had just put me through!). Anyway, when I got home I was in for a shock. My bumper got a facelift!!
There's this NICE dent in the corner bumper. I was so pissed because it was just ironic. Everytime I pay some financial obligation off, I end up being faced with another one. So frustrating. Anyway - we'll have to put this 'project' on the backburner for a while. I'm just thankful it wasn't worse and as long as the car still runs, it's low on my priority list. But darn, I really wanted to go back and get that dog!! Eileen, thanks for the phone call and for always inviting me to concerts. I'll make it one day - don't give up on me!!!
We've been spending lots of time with Reg's Mamang (lola, grandmother) lately. She's so cute! The family pitched in to get her a VERY NICE computer system so she could partake in group chats and conversations and email. The thing is she doesn't know the first thing when it comes to computers. Well, she is learning with some help from us. Too cute! Reg is always laughing because her hand isn't steady and it takes a while for her to manage a click on an icon or on a link. When she finally makes it, we can't help but clap and cheer her on. After a tutoring session, Mang always heaves a big sigh for her exertion. Reg's very patient with her. It's nice to see him make such effort. Funny when he makes faces at me behind her back! Here are some pictures I took with my cel that Reggie dubbed:
"Mamang, hacking the planet!!!"

You go, Mang!! LOL! Too cute!
OMG!
If you go to watch "Sin City," be prepared for a dark and raw film! I'm still
from watching it. It was entertaining; don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But like I told Reg, it's not something I would even consider bringing our kids to watch - EVER!! - like the family in the row in front of us did. Really, how clueless are some parents? Do your research before bringing children to a movie - heck, you could ask the clerks at the 'box office' before purchasing your ticket if it's appropriate for a young child.
Anyway - it's a really different movie. It's depicted like a comic book and full of sex and violence, in black-and-white mostly. Like I said, I enjoyed it. I hope to rate "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous" in my next entry. LOL!!! Love Sandra Bullock!
I just spoke with my friend from the P.I. who plans on coming here in May. We decided have her and her friend stay at our place since it would be crazy for them to try and rent a room for five days. I'm getting nervous because I've never had a house guest before. I asked my Mom "What if they get bored since they won't have a car and there really is no way of getting around without one (Guam Transit not an option)?" and Mom said "You have cable, right??!"
I hope she enjoys her stay here and I hope we get along fine. 20 years is a long time - that's how long it's been since we were together. Reg is just disappointed because it means we'll be giving up the bedroom.
I'm also worried because her trip coincides with the week of our SAT 10 testing and I'm scared that work won't give me the time off that I'll need to pick her up from the airport or take her to her licensing exam (the purpose of her trip). We'll see - I'm sure it'll work out.
That's all for now!
